New Media Art Club Gallery Screenings Presents:
Children of Men - Selected by Curator Pasha Kincaid

6:30 - 9 pm

CB Depot

Alfonso Cuarón's dystopian masterpiece "Children of Men" (2006) offers a haunting vision of a world grappling with human extinction. Set against the backdrop of global infertility, the film explores themes of hope, rebirth, and the resilience of the human spirit - echoing the transformative essence of our "Spirit to Matter" exhibition. Pasha chose the film "Children of Men" as it resonates deeply with current political rhetoric around refugees and Asylum seekers and presents a stark reflection on humanity's interconnectedness and our shared fate. The film's journey from despair to a glimmer of hope mirrors the exhibition's exploration of existence's transformational potential. Let's come together as a community to witness this powerful and thought provoking screening.
